So I see those indestructo carts with the cranes on the back a lot, especially in Line Harvest.
I was wondering if CCP and the player community would be interested in being able to deploy things like bulldozers and excavating drills for a furthering of the "sandbox"
These vehicles would basically allow a player to alter the battlefield to their tactical needs. Following are examples, not a list of requests
- A crane could be implemented to move those large containers and other things (maybe supply depots and CRUs) to a place they can access while manipulating their load.
- A bulldozer that can clear bumps and smaller land forms to landscape the battlefield for things like vehicle deployment, installation drops, or even a makeshift camp.
- A drill could be used to bore into building walls, making a breach for soldiers to enter through should a lock be inefficient to hack or less effective.
- A backhoe could be used to dig pits like foxholes or easy booby traps such as in the Baja 1000. This Video shows how demonstrators built a booby trap in the race! As an LAV driver, it would mix things up for me.
- A combat version cherry picker could be used as a mobile elevator for troops.
- A dump truck could essentially fill in holes/booby traps, bury the unsuspecting enemy, or do landscaping
- This would be good for all the HAVs and LAVs out there
- This thing digs trenches well, but probably not good for deeper excavation
- Let's not forget wrecking balls
The real-world military uses these things, as seen here
Again, these are just examples of such an implementation, not a list of suggestions. Also used to get my idea across.
Again this would be a big task on CCPs end, so I wouldn't be too down if you throw this in the trash. |

O gee I'm really embarrassed. I had this idea long ago, but only recently agreed to myself it was a good idea, but there's literally the exact same thread made not too long ago. Darn it. Link to Other thread.

Could we merge them? I think mine has more depth though. |
